Job Summary: You will be joining and leading the software engineering team responsible for the development and support of technology products for care management, medical coding, and imaging.

Position Essential Functions:
- Act as a hands-on manager within the team rolling up your sleeves, filling in the gaps and resolving daily challenges, e.g. writing code, providing support, driving solutioning, etc.
- Possess a well-rounded technical background with experience in various technologies and methodologies.
- Ensure system uptime, stability, and high performance via proactive maintenance, effective support of production systems, troubleshooting bugs, performing root cause analysis, etc.
- Implement and execute proper source control, security scans, code reviews and CI/CD practices within the team.
- Keep up to date on emerging technologies and best practices.
- Act as a technical expert both inside and outside the team, researching, evaluating, and implementing new technology solutions.

- Acts as a subject matter expert on primary systems the company utilizes

- Responsible for the technical vision of the team
- Promote scrum principles and champion timely execution of sprint goals within the team.
- Ensure proper scope estimating, engineering execution, and change management.

- Responsible for the team delivering high-quality software on time.
- Makes software architecture and solution decisions
- Performs code reviews
- Split larger projects into smaller parts effectively
- Assist in keeping the team transparent and accountable to commitments
- Champions process and encourages team members to deliver with high quality
- Performs Code Reviews
- Performs 1:1’s with all direct reports to give constructive feedback
- Identify challenges (technical and non-technical), finding solutions to help the team move forward.
Results/Delivery
- Responsible for foundational/critical systems to be delivered and maintained
- Manage external technical partners/vendors
- Architects and develops an understanding of the big picture – learning how the systems work together
- Identifies and escalates risk within a project
Technology
- Competent in Angular, .net framework, C# programming
- Demonstrates competent problem-solving skills (debugging, analysis, etc.)
- Designs larger systems with the goal of making it so that other team members can understand and contribute to the solution
- Responsible for technology decisions for the team
- Competent in database management, and database design and can compose advanced queries. Deep understanding of database schemas and database performance
- Envision and shape the future of the applications and platforms used across business operations to modernize and scale as the business grows.
- Advanced understanding of IDE's
- Expert-level knowledge and use of product lifecycle, code reviews, version control, coding standards, CI/CD, and unit testing
- Proficient with SOAP and REST Web APIs (i.e. XML/JSON, WSDL, etc.)
Experience:
- 15 or more years building software applications and working with software development teams
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or 2-3 additional years of professional experience
- 10 or more years of contributing to system architecture, scaling applications, design patterns or reliability of software products
- Experience with Agile development workflow and best practices
What else would make you stand out?
- Healthcare system experience (i.e. claims systems, care management, EMR/EHR, HIE, etc.)
- Experience with JavaScript technologies and frameworks (e.g. jQuery, Angular or similar frameworks)
- Technical documentation skills
- Proficiency in enterprise-class UI/UX design
