Software Developer

The Software Developer is responsible for:

  • maintaining all current in-house applications as well as the development of any future programming projects that will enhance the Helen Ross McNabb Center's ability to capture and store data in such a way as to allow for accurate Ad Hoc reporting for departmental and operational analysis.
  • instrumental in the development and maintenance of a library of customized forms for the use in the workflows of the McNabb Center's clinical staff as they record information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • the ability to communicate the data collected to practice management and billing systems within the same software environment.

COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $61,710 /yr based on relevant experience and education.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Travel: Travel to other McNabb worksites as necessary

Equipment/Technology: High Level computer skills and familiarity with common office technology.

QUALIFICATIONS - Software Developer

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited two-year college or technical school, with an Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Three years of related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Basic knowledge of information technology operations and database functionality.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Two years of job related experience developing client/server applications using VB.NET or ASP.NET to optimize data transactions to and from a SQL Server database.
  • Three years experience in at least two of the following programming languages; VB.Net, ASP.Net, Javascript, VBA C#, or Delphi.
  • Three years experience with SQL databases.
  • Possess a solid foundation and understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle process, as well as a thorough understanding in client/server Layered Application Guidelines.
  • Experience in report writing and knowledge of queries for relational database management systems, particularly with dealing with structured data.
  • Program in a modular way to quickly and accurately modify existing applications in order to perform various tasks such as reading and writing data in various formats both to and from directories and creating Ad Hoc reports.

  • Normal IT Operations Environment
  • Hearing of normal/soft tones and close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Busy environment with multiple distractions.
