We are looking for a Software developer who is passionate about designing and developing solutions that excite our end users. You will be fully engaged with the development life cycle to deliver high quality and efficient code, including analyzing business requirements, estimation and design, testing, and deployment. Successful candidates must be able to engage and clearly communicate with Team/Business Owners/Scrum Masters and other Business partners as needed during development life cycle to achieve business and technology initiatives.
What you’ll do.

Working on our Enterprise policy admin platform.

Analyze Business Requirements and seek out clarification as needed in a timely fashion

Design solutions and present them to senior architects for review and approval

Develop, Unit Test and Implement requirements based on approved design within previously provided estimates.

Make good technical decisions that provide solutions. Think out of the box and consider the big picture when designing and implementing.

Ensure clean release of code, review dependencies and resolve as needed, review release logs and resolve errors as needed.

Clearly and regularly communicate with team and business partners on progress and/or blockers.

Resolve support cases that are escalated. Conduct impact and root cause analysis on all defects and develop solutions to prevent future occurrences.

Assist or support Production releases as needed.
What we’re looking for:

2+ years of developer experience in relevant industry.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Hands on experience with JAVA and awareness on web service technologies

Familiarity working with relational databases and knowledge of SQL

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to communicate with different stakeholders

Working knowledge of business systems integration and object-oriented design patterns
The base salary for this role can range from $70K - $85K, based on a full-time work schedule. An individual’s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
