Looking for a new role to ring in the new year? We are looking for a Software Controls Engineer who is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting computer-based acquisition, control systems, and inter-networked control for precision test equipment.

Main Responsibilities Include:
- Use existing knowledge and experience with software development tools to contribute to the development of our next generation control system
- Adapt to our internal software development toolset and environment and use it in combination with other tools and languages to achieve equipment control system design goals
- Balance the need for meeting project timing, developing and documenting robust code, and efficiently using the most appropriate software tools for the task
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance the capabilities of LINK Test Equipment.
- Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
- Adherence to company policies.
- Adherence to LINK quality process and procedures and identify continuous improvement opportunities implementing through our quality system.
- Be a role model and advocate of the LINK culture that is consistent and emphasizes the identified mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline (CpE or Robotics preferred)
- Previous experience writing software to control electro-mechanical systems
- Understanding of hardware and software designs
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including C++, C#, and a modern scripting language (Python, JavaScript, etc)
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and undergraduate-level physics
- Interpersonal skills for working on a team and with customers
- Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
- Clear and easily understood written and verbal communications
- Any of the following would be a plus: specific NVH experience, high level math skills, experience with RTOS, FPGA, .NET 6 and Linux
