Crowley is seeking an Oracle Cloud ERP Business Solutions Architect to join our ERP Business Process Excellence Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Oracle ERP cloud specializing in Financials, Accounting and Costing modules with good end-to-end business processes across P2P, O2C and R2R. The candidate will help develop and execute the functional architectural vision for Crowley’s Oracle Cloud ERP platform and other enterprise cloud applications and assist with finance transformation as a team member, working directly with product owners, business stakeholders and management to align the ERP/Cloud Applications vision with key business and technology roadmaps. The ideal candidate will have senior functional consultant level experience and extensive domain knowledge of Oracle ERP Cloud modules (GL, Intercompany, AP, AR, FA, CM, Costing, Expenses, PPM) and good understanding of supporting ERP Cloud modules (Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory Management and Master Data). The candidate must be able to work as an individual contributor with minimal supervision in a fast paced, rapid growth environment in a high-performance Agile SCRUM team.

What you will do:

  • Design and develop Oracle ERP cloud functional configurations to defined business requirement.
  • Design new Oracle cloud functional solutions to support new business growth/verticals with proof of concept.
  • Work directly with product owners and business stakeholders to plan new initiatives, gather requirements, perform map/gap, design, build, test and cutover Oracle cloud and other business application solutions/configurations in TEST environment and provide configuration guides for PROD turnover.
  • Train support personnel to provide ongoing ERP support.
  • Own configuration management and functional specification deliverables from planning to execution to support.
  • Incorporate Oracle cloud business applications best practices into overall cloud platform vision with functional architecture/solution configurations.
  • Function as functional systems stakeholder, provide guidance for evaluation of cloud business applications and products to extend/build upon Oracle cloud ERP solution.
  • Collaborate with other functional/technical consultants and architects to ensure alignment between Oracle ERP and overall Crowley system landscape/vision.
  • Drive business transformation and process improvement while providing technical system solutions for Oracle ERP and other applications as an internal consultant.
  • Support the ongoing service requests, quarterly upgrades, bug fixes while delivering enhancements/new features via sprints as an individual contributor.
  • Expand into other business applications beyond Oracle ERP as the business and technology landscape evolve.
  • Work with stakeholders across Crowley including corporate and business unit finance, accounting, supply chain, procurement, sourcing, and audit teams and integrate business processes and functional configurations across Oracle Cloud and other business applications to support end-to-end processes such as record-to-report, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, capital assets, costing, subledger accounting and financial close processes.
  • Define, design, assess and improve the solutions that provide the business capabilities and end-to-end value to users and stakeholders and maximizes end user adoption.
  • Provide support with developing, testing, and rolling out solutions, bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and solve incidents reported by users and conduct Problem Management including root cause analysis of design and adoptability problems.
  • Collaborate with business and product managers to gather application and technical requirements, create detailed process flows, develop BIP/OTBI reports, security setups, testing/training documents.
  • Lead the review, validation, and testing of quarterly upgrade functionalities in Oracle Cloud applications, and help the users understand/adapt them.
  • Assist with testing/validation of changes to existing programs or implementation of latest programs prior to release to production.
  • Work in an agile development environment with a quick turnaround time and iterative builds.

Qualifications - External

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
  • One or more Oracle cloud certifications in Financials, Costing and PPM.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of functional hands-on design/configuration/subject matter experience in multiple Oracle Cloud Financial modules including Costing, Accounts Payables, Expenses, Accounts Receivable and Collections, General Ledger, Revenue Management, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Risk Management, Inter-Company, Financial Orchestration, Treasury, Tax, EPM – Close and Consolidation and Project Portfolio Management.
  • 2+ years of Oracle ERP Cloud financial implementations including GL, Intercompany, AP, AR, FA, CM, Costing, Expenses, and PPM.
  • Demonstrated experience in the definition of systems strategy, gathering and documenting business requirements, leading fit-gap analysis, as-is and to-be business process designs, conference room pilots (CRPs) functional configuration, testing, client user training.
  • Experience in integrating ERP Cloud with other systems using middleware, Webservices, and REST APIs.

Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of record to report business process including period-end closing, financial consolidation/reconciliation/reporting, planning & budgeting.
  • Ability to configure the Oracle Cloud Applications to meet business requirements and document application set-ups.
  • Strong understanding of transactional flow/configuration dependencies across order-to-cash, procure-to-pay as they relate to accounting/financials.
  • Knowledgeable in writing approval rules and configuring DFFs & EFFs.
  • Knowledge in Data Loading/Conversions using File-Based Data Import (FBDI).
  • Knowledge of technologies, languages, and architectures like Functional Setup Manager (FSM), Application Development Framework Data Integration (ADFDI), File Based Data Import (FBDI), Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP) Report development, Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Software as a Service / Platform as a Service (SaaS and PaaS), Smart View / and Fusion Reporting Studio (FRS).
  • Ability to collaborate with finance and accounting stakeholders from a business transformation and process improvement mindset.
  • Working cross-functional knowledge across cloud applications such as Procurement, Inventory Management, Inventory Transfers, Product Data Management, Costing (Actual or Standard – Receipt and Cost Accounting) is desired.
  • Experience with full software development life cycle (SDLC) and executing implementation strategy – requirements and analysis, map/gap, design, build, development, testing, training, cut-over and post go-live support.
  • Experience working in iterative, agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience presenting functional solutions to vice president and director level business stakeholders and managing delivery expectations as an individual contributor.
  • Ability to evaluate, estimate and create a detailed project plan for functional projects.
  • Experience with Cloud Production Support, Quarterly Updates, FBDI uploads, Data Migrations, writing functional specifications for integrations, Authoring SQL/OTBI reports/BI Publisher.
  • Strong desire to learn other financials applications/systems as the organization evolves.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and high-pressure situations.

  • PMP or Agile/Scrum Certifications.
  • Prior experience in Logistics, Marine or other high-volume ecommerce industries.
  • Good understanding of source to pay business process including negotiations, contracts, blanket purchase agreement, and catalog management under P2P.
  • Experience setting up new LE’s, Ledgers, Business Units, Multi-Currency, etc. to support multiple countries/international operations.
  • Good working experience of Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Experience with other applications like OneStream is a plus.

Experience with XML, Web Service, Oracle OIC, MuleSoft, and/or Java.

  • Oracle Cloud HCM Knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and high-pressure situations.
  • Consideration for privacy and security obligations.
