Matter Health is a specialized practice within Matter. We are a dedicated group of driven, collaborative, and gregarious people that are working collectively to support dozens of brands across the continuum of healthcare and fuel growth across the larger Matter organization. We’re currently looking for a dynamic, results-focused Social Media Specialist to join our team, working with healthcare clients across the portfolio. This strategist will play a key role on client projects, working hand-in-hand alongside Matter Health teammates handling PR/Media Relations.

Here’s a mix of what you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Executing content and handling social community management primarily for Twitter and LinkedIn; content for Facebook, Instagram, etc. is possible but not common
  • Creating monthly and quarterly reports for clients on goals and benchmarking, and taking ownership for steadily improving those metrics
  • Supporting brand strategy development work including executing competitive analysis, market research, brand audits, position and messaging creation
  • Assisting with paid social strategy, implementation and reporting
  • Occasionally engaging in rapid response situations
  • Contributing to development and analysis for new business pitches
  • Serving as a leader/expert representing the Matter Health team internally and externally.

Along with creativity, drive and self-motivation, your previous experience and attributes will include:

  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in Social Media; content writing, platform management, community management; healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Experience writing content across social channels, especially Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Ability to drive content both for corporate accounts as well as the personal accounts and handles of executives
  • Experience working with software and tools such as Google Analytics, social media insights, website analytics tools, and marketing automation platforms etc.
  • Familiarity with healthcare communities, concepts, lexicon is a plus
  • Familiarity with commonly-used design platforms (Adobe, Photoshop, etc.) is a plus
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to present yourself with aplomb and verve during client interactions
