The Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating, editing, distributing and optimizing content across all social media platforms to attract, retain, and engage our members as well as potential team members. The selected candidate will also analyze performance data to help make brand and digital marketing decisions and changes in media direction.
What you will be doing in this role?
  • Builds and ensures a strong brand presence that is uniform across all social media platforms.
  • Creates, and maintains the company’s social media accounts.
  • Assist management in the development and execution of the digital marketing strategy including but not limited to organic and paid social media to ensure our brand is relevant, current and optimizes lead generation and member acquisition.
  • Creates, analyzes, reports and makes recommendations to improve engagement based on data analytics from social media.
  • Monitors both websites to ensure accuracy, grow visitors and optimize UI/UX (user interface and user experience.
  • Maintain, set up landing pages and make edits to websites.
  • Maintains a effective working relationships with our vendor partners working on websites.
  • Maintains UMCU and EMUCU ADA compliance on websites
  • Executes all SEO/SEM activities to increase ranking on all major search engines.
  • Create company’s Google Analytics 4 accounts, establish and maintain tracking goals.
  • Facilitates the member survey process, report results and identify ongoing improvements
  • Monitors the competition’s and other company’s social media to understand the appeal of their marketing content and approaches and provide recommendations.
  • Stay current with social/digital media trends and make recommendations as necessary on direction and new modes of communication.
  • Collaborates with the Brand and Marketing team on social media campaign ideation.
  • Collaborates across the organization to ensure digital marketing strategy meets organizational needs.
  • Maintains a consistent theme/voice in all digital marketing materials.
  • Understands credit union policies and procedures and ensures that all marketing communications conform to applicable regulatory and credit union standards.
  • Participates and assists in UMCU community and university events such as fall rush. .
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows all credit union policies and procedures regarding BSA, OFAC, U.S. Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering, S.A.F.E Act, CFPB regulations and Customer Identification Program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you will need for this role?
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Writing or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related experience preferred.
  • Certification in Google AdWords and Google Analytics
  • Experience with Website CMS
  • SEO/SEM training
  • Strong creativity and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with social media.
  • High level of communication skills
  • Strong knowledge about online media and good understand of major marketing channels

  • The environment is typical of an office atmosphere. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
