SUMMARY
Snow Maintenance Machine Operator, under the direction of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents this position operates all types of light-duty snow removal equipment, shovels snow, stacks firewood, and does related work as needed for snow removal maintenance department.
- Operates various snow blowers, snowplows, and snowmobiles
- Operates only equipment authorized by supervisor when asked
- Shovel snow where needed in a productive fashion
- Has proper knowledge to operate our snowmobile safely and effectively
- Follows our check out/check in equipment procedure and does not deviate
- Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis; reports equipment problems or failure to the equipment manager immediately
- Returns all equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility; and is responsible for following the SOP with regard to cleaning of equipment
- Helps in all project work that may arise through the season
- Be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Monitor and stack firewood at Clubhouse
- Washes and cleans vehicles when asked
- Performs other duties as directed by Grounds Management
Employment standards:
- Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of all small equipment
- Working knowledge of an ability to use hand and power tools and equipment
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Knowledge methods and materials used in snow removal operations
- Mechanical aptitude
- Following company safety policies as pertained to all equipment
- Follows our company policy as regards to grooming/personal hygiene standards
- Follows our departmental uniform policy while at work
- Be able to lift light to moderate equipment, at least 50lbs.
