POSITION SUMMARY:

The Skip Trace/Asset Locator will administer various investigative methods by expertly navigating websites, software applications, place a high volume of outbound calls to employers and consumers and accurately document findings to locate consumers and their attachable assets. Will have a keen eye for locating and verifying consumer information diligently. All duties must be performed within the scope of applicable laws and regulations, operating in a manner that represents professionalism and integrity. Self-motivated, trustworthy, strives to succeed and quickly adapts to change in a fast-paced environment. Enjoys solving puzzles, hunting down information and is an effective communicator.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform inbound/outbound calls with consumers, third parties and employers to trace whereabouts of debtors with the intention of finding a current address and employment.

2. Accurately document all information pertaining to accounts.

3. Prepare and/or process documents; review for accuracy and completeness; update information and/or evaluate against policy.

4. Perform investigative activities to evaluate and determine the whereabouts of consumers through database searches and system records (Skip-Tracing).

5. Meets monthly quotas, specific quality and volume requirements.

6. Analyzes issues, makes decisions and follows up with peers and management.

7. Negotiates effectively in challenging situations with both internal and external clients Builds appropriate rapport, and establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal and external Ensures accounts are updated with new information as it is obtained.

8. Performs other duties as requested.

SKILLS:

1. Proficient in Microsoft Office skills and Internet Explorer

2. Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

3. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

4. Knowledge and understanding of skip tracing

5. Knowledge and understanding of the Fair Debt Collection Privacy Act (FDCPA)

6. Must be able to perform math functions

7. Attends training and maintains a basic knowledge of procedures to ensure compliance with the laws and regulations governing financial institutions, as they apply to your position and job responsibilities, with an emphasis on the BSA/AML/Consumer Privacy, Regulation CC Information Security, and Bank Protection Act.

8. Must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.). Travel may be required.

EXPERIENCE: Essential:

1. 2+ years skip tracing experience required

2. Call Center knowledge

EDUCATION:

Essential: High School diploma required
