SOC Analyst - Located at Port San Antonio, SATX - TS/SCI Level Clearance Preferred
Title: SOC Analyst
Location: Tech Port San Antonio, Texas
Schedule: 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)

Week 1
40 hours
Review SOC Documentation (Overview and SOPs) / Gain toolset access / Start to review Security+ (or other DoD 8570 certification) documentation.
Complete onboarding, training and indoc
Week 2
40 hours
Shoulder Surf with Analyst – Sit with each analyst to see how they perform their day-to-day operations as well as how they identify and analyze potential cyber security threats.
Gain toolset access; Shoulder surf with Analysts
Week 3
40 hours
Hands on Toolsets / Gain familiarity with Toolsets, become acclimated with DoD 8570 certification/requirements (IAT II) and start the certification process for Security+.

Identifying potential threats and creating Investigations, Study sessions with current SOC certified personnel

Month 2
160 hours
Learn how to create Rules and policies in Alienvault, SentinelOne and DNS Filter with on-the-job training, DoD 8570 certification study sessions

On-the-job training and potentially taking Security+ (or other DoD 8570 certification) exam

On-the-job training – Security+ exam/ CYSA certification preperation

- This position has no supervisory responsibilities

- Will report to assigned supervisor
Qualifications
- Must be an active military service member
- Must reside locally in the San Antonio, Texas metro area
Preferred Qualifications
- Military experience with the Air Force cyber mission force (CMF) or Joint Cyber Analysis Course (JCAC)
- TS/SCI Clearance
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II, such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND or SSCP
