$25 - $27 per hour with flexible part-time, evening, and split shifts! No Weekends!
Groome operates a fixed route bus service for a large local employer and is hiring CDL drivers with excellent safety records and customer service skills.
Groome Transportation is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia and operates across 16 states as a specialty ground transportation provider. The company offers closed-loop campus shuttle services for academic and institutional clients as well as an airport shuttle division.

Job summary
Bus drivers will drive a fixed route with assigned stops while also providing excellent customer service and safe, comfortable operation.
Requirments:
- Minimum 21 years of age with valid CDL
- Satisfactory completion of each of the following:
- Background Invesitgation
- Drug Testings
- DOT Physical and agility tests
- Annual DOT or biannual physicals
- Motor Vehicle Report
- CDL Clearinghouse
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all passengers receive safe, reliable customer-oriented
- Pick up passengers as directed
- Greet and thank passengers in a friendly manner as they enter and exit the bus
- Ability to uphold company standard for customer service, including the ability to follow state laws, corporate policy, and safe driving guidlines/practices
- Ensure interior and exterior of assigned vehicle clean and odor-free
- Ability to climb into bus
- Ability to operate ADA lifts and wheelchair securement
- Attend staff meetings and safety trainings as required
- Report for work on time and in uniform for every shift
- Possible on-call as required during inclement weather
- Communication with Dispatchers both in person and over the radio
- Complete driver logs & HOS compliance
- Complete thorough and accurate Pre and Post trip vehicle inspections as required by DOT (DIVRs)
- Perform location specific duties such as facility clean up, parking lot clean up, or other duties as directed by Operations Manager and/or Dispatchers
- Advise manager of any accidents or incidents per company policy
