Shipping Team Lead – 2nd Shift
Summary
Young Living is looking for a high-energy, self-motivated, results-driven team lead in the Shipping department at our Distribution Center in Spanish Fork, UT. This position plays a significant role in the overall planning, organizing, and coordination of production activities. This individual will form the first line of support for workers, who are at the heart of improvement activities with responsibility for problem solving, quality assurance, and basic preventative maintenance.
What You Will Get to Do
- Understand essential functions of all positions within the shipping teams
- Ensure standardized work is understood and followed
- Guarantee safety rules are understood and followed
- Make sure abnormalities are visible, identified, and corrected
- Educate team members recognize and eliminate waste in their work cycle
- Support team members when struggling with line pace and tech the correct way of following the standardized work
- Team leaders do not have a fixed line post and will fill in where/when needed
- Perform daily process and team member audits
What You Will Need
- Strong work ethic and the ability to professionally direct others to understand best practices and to work efficiently
- Good team leadership skills
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate effectively, learn, and train others
- Spanish / bilingual skills are very beneficial
- Warehouse / Distribution Center work experience is beneficial
Work Hours & Location
This is a 2nd shift position Monday through Friday, from 3:15 p.m. until 12:00 midnight. Occasional overtime hours are offered and at times required. Overtime hours are typically 12:00 midnight until 2:00 a.m. On rare occasion, overtime work on Saturday is offered and at times required. This position requires workers to be physically present onsite for all work.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Spanish / bilingual skills are very beneficial
- Warehouse / Distribution Center work experience is beneficial
