Vitro Architectural Glass is currently seeking a Shipping Supervisor at its Carlisle, PA location. This position supports management of the shipping and receiving operations and staff in the shipping department and maximizing the utilization of the warehouse and shipments.

Responsibilities:
The primary responsbility of the Shipping Supervisor is to meet the daily shipping goals with a focus on creating a safe working environment, training and development for the staff, increasing efficiency of shipments, and improving the overall workflow within the department. The Shipping Supervisor must maintain open communication with the Glass Products Manager and Production Control Manager to fully understand the shipment demands. Other responsibilities will include driving continuous improvement activities throughout the warehouse and shipping departments, overseeing the activities of the hourly, employees, communication with the Shipping Coordinators to understand any concerns with carriers, and recognize, resolve, and escalate issues identified as potential risks to performance.

Qualifications:
Experience managing a large high-volume operation within a manufacturing environment

Experience leading a warehouse, shipping and receiving team, including: hiring, training and motivating

Strong Problem-Solving Skills

High School Diploma is required. Bachelors degree in Supply Chain or Logisitics preferred).

Proven ability to plan, organize, and effectively lead and manage people in a fast paced operation

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Outlook,Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
