Job Description: Pure Green Farms is currently seeking a First Shift Shipping Operator who is responsible to perform general labor tasks of organizing customer shipments, loading trucks and receiving raw and pack components at our facility.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Leads the loading of all finished goods trailers and records the shipments in a computerized system.

· Receive all raw and pack materials for the plant through whichever dock is necessary.

· Assists case packing and palletizing

· Manages scheduling and loading of outbound customer shipments.

· Coordination with Customer Service and Growing team personnel for complete and on-time customer loading and order fulfilment

· Assists and maintains organization and efficient process flow of all raw materials to minimize waste. Manages a FIFO finished goods inventory system.

· Documentation and recordkeeping to satisfy food safety and quality 3rd party accreditations.

· Maintain general cleanliness, order, and organization of all workspaces

· Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Fork truck AND Forklift license is required.

· Sense of urgency

· Computer skills; proficiency with MS Office. Experience with QuickBooks preferred.

· Learning, implementing, and monitoring food safety and quality policies and procedures

· Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and respectively.

· Thinking l and creatively in the wake of adversity but can make critical decisions quickly and repeatedly

Minimum of High School diploma, GED equivalent required

Working Conditions:

· Working in refrigerated warehouse for prolonged periods where temperature averages 35-45 degrees

· Position requires sitting, standing, and walking on a regular basis for prolonged periods

· Must be able to lift 40lbs

Education/Experience:

· Forklift operator certification required with 2-3 years minimum of driving a fork truck

· High school graduate or GED required; post high school education, or trade school background or certifications is a plus

· Previous factory/warehouse/manufacturing or product process environment preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
