Summary:

River Point Farms is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative S hipping Clerk to join our onion processing team. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, clerical support to local management and coordinate the shipping activities and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily coordination of shipment of finished goods with third party trucking lines.
  • Establish and maintain trusting relationships with logistics companies and personnel.
  • Enter data into the management system, fax/scan bill of ladings, reconcile paperwork, and audit for accuracy.
  • Various administrative duties, including taking phone calls, depositing cash sales, compiling shipping documents, keeping inventory of office supplies, and processing purchase orders.
  • Serve as point of contact to the drivers and ensure they have the information required to deliver on-schedule at the correct location.
  • Adhere to all food safety policies and procedures and report all food and situational safety concerns to management immediately.
  • Build strong professional relationships with all staff, departments, and business partners, internal and external.
  • Attend on-site safety trainings and comply with ARI safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • H.S. diploma or equivalent. Relevant degrees or certifications a plus.
  • Strong demonstrated interpersonal, team player, and communication skills. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Forklift driving experience helpful.
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to learn new programs and systems including Excel and inventory software (M3).
  • Excellent time management, reporting, and troubleshooting skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Aptitude to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Be able to meet the physical requirements of the role which include lifting up to 50lbs.
