Shippers at Arauco-Duraflake load/unload trucks, rail cars, wrap flats, and build blocks. They make sure that there are prompt and accurate shipments of product. Shippers also sign bills of ladings for shipments, receipts from vendors and create customs papers for international orders. They check incoming products against documentation to verify accuracy, check for damage in any way and put away products in the proper area. According to the customer’s order, shippers prepare items for shipment. Shippers are responsible for housekeeping and maintaining clean truck and rail docks. Shippers perform any related warehouse duties such as trash removal, pulling of samples, warehousing, and other tasks as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Understands, follows and participates in all safety procedures.
• Over-Time As Needed
• Availability to adapt to temporary schedule changes
• Able and willing to work a swing shift Monday - Friday with 1 Saturday every 4 weeks
• Required to learn both Rail and Truck Dock positions.
• Strong Math Skills
• Forklift driving - preferred
• Mapping Rails - preferred

Compensation

Starting wage $20.00. After completing 9 months (1560 hours) and certifying in Trucks or Rails, wage increases to $22.88.
