Company Size:

Transene currently operates in both coasts of the United States: Danvers, Massachusetts and Oakland, California. Currently at our Oakland site, we have upwards of 15 full-time employees.

7am-3:30pm (with two 15-minute Breaks and one 30-minute Lunch Break included)

Job Description

Transene is growing…and we are excited to open this role: HAZMAT Shipping and

Receiving Technician.

➢ Monitor deliveries and pickups, often in the form of pallets, boxes, or barrels

➢ Verify, check, and attach HAZMAT labels correctly and efficiently to packaged chemicals

➢ Properly box and prepare chemicals ready for shipping following DOT Guidelines

(Training will be provided)

➢ Stay up to date and package products adhering to UN packaging guidelines

➢ Ability to shrink-wrap and zip-tie pallets

➢ Ensure purchase orders are fulfilled accurately

➢ Confirm order matches finished product

➢ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

➢ Maintain the warehouse and receiving areas in a clean and organized manner

➢ Move heavy boxes or pallets around

➢ Perform other duties, as required, by management

➢ Proficient in handling hazardous chemicals in a safe and timely manner

➢ Strong communication skills between Production, Order Fulfillment, Customer

Service, and Management

➢ Capable to work in a small team environment

➢ Capable to follow strict standards, methods, and procedures

➢ Extensive knowledge of HAZMAT federal, state, and local transportation regulations

➢ Ability to work in a high-volume high-stress shipping atmosphere with high accuracy

➢ Ability to use computer and office equipment including printer, copier, telephones

➢ Basic Knowledge of internet operations, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

➢ Willing to strive to continual improvement
