A Shared Living Provider (SLP), is a community-based living option for individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability. A Shared Living provider supports a person who comes to live in their home with daily living skills, providing transportation to medical appointments, work, and getting out into the community. A Shared Living home becomes home for the person served.

It is preferred that the Shared Living provider have some experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, but it is not a requirement.
