Retail Service Advisor

In this position you will serve our customers in our Retail Service Department in the CarShop Way and delight them with prompt, courteous and excellent service. Effectively communicate the required, needed and recommended service to our customer's in a manner which reflects the values and integrity of our culture and makes it easy for them to make an informed decision. Consult with the service technicians to ensure all needed services are represented in the repair order.

What will you do?

Have direct interaction with retail service customers, meeting and exceeding customer's needs and expectations for timely service while optimizing technician output.

Consult with service technicians to ensure all required, needed and recommended services are reflected on the Repair Order (RO).

Analyze and sell retail services to customers, suggesting and up-selling available services to protect and maintain customer's vehicles.

Monitor the acquisition of parts required to complete servicing of customer vehicles or schedule the service appointment. Ensure that parts are acquired in a timely manner.

Respond appropriately and in a timely manner to all customer concerns. Be pro-active and accurate in all communications with customers including phone calls and written communications.

Know and follow all policies, procedures of the retail service department and make recommendations that will improve company performance.

Be vigilant about comparative pricing of services with competitors.

Possess a solid working knowledge of service computer systems. Accurately input data for all customers in order to produce accurate records and reports for management information.

What skills do you need?

Previous experience working as a Service Advisor in a dealership is preferred.

Outgoing personality that easily relates to customers.

Good problem solving skills. Demonstrates consistent logic, rationality and objectivity in decision-making balanced by the ability to offer creative solutions. Achieves balance between quick decisiveness and slower more thorough approaches, neither indecisive nor a hip shooter.

Exemplifies integrity. Does not cut corners. Remains consistent in terms of what one says and does in terms of behavior towards others. Maintains confidences.
