OBJECTIVE
Coordinator II will be responsible for handling client's requests for service in an efficient manner while providing excellent customer service. Take inbound calls to obtain a thorough understanding of repairs needed on a vehicle through discussions with the vehicle driver and vendors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assist driver with any/all questions regarding the vehicle. Direct vehicle to proper vendor for repair. Immediate follow up is required to ensure vehicle arrived at proper vendor.
  • Review, line by line, a shop estimate on vehicle repairs. Make appropriate changes, and negotiate with vendors on the repair.
  • Audit estimates manually or through an estimating system to establish realistic figures.
  • Secure agreed prices with the vendor in writing to insure the client is aware of the repair total.
  • Establish repair times with the shop based on the repairs, and transfer call to the Rental Dept. for appropriate follow-up.
  • Enter repair into the Mechanical Incident Management System.
  • Other duties assigned to ensure overall departmental efficiency.

OTHER DUTIES
  • Negotiation for warranty recovery in cases where a vehicle is out of the normal factory warranty date, or miles.
  • Effectively and efficiently work with our clients as needed to authorize appropriate repairs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position can be located in our Rolling Meadows, IL office, our Alpharetta, GA office or remote
POSITION TYPE/STANDARD SCHEDULE
This is a Full-time position; 40 hours a week including later hours that will include a weekend day.
TRAVEL
No travel required.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical degree in Automotive field preferred.
  • Must have 2 ASE certifications, if expired, must be able to recertify in 2 of them by your 1 year anniversary date.
  • Minimum of 2 years previous "hands-on" mechanical industry experience required.
  • Knowledge of an estimating system required.
  • Ability to provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
  • Basic math and computer/typing skills.
  • Willing to work independently while multi-tasking and be accountable for the results of these tasks.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written) and negotiation skills.
