Villages of St Peters Memory Care fosters an environment of teamwork and provides opportunities in a culinary environment in a healthcare setting. The Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) Server demonstrates a commitment to total satisfaction of patients, residents and guest by providing professional table service in dining area(s). Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment to ensure products and services are of high quality and presentation. Adhere to NHC Food and Nutritional Services (FNS) operational standards and procedures.

Position Highlights:

• Must demonstrate qualities of being a self-starter and be able to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Has a thorough understanding of all regulations (local, state, and federal) which affect FNS including, but not limited to, patient care, sanitation, labor, fire, safety, and disaster and complies with these regulations.
• Assists in maintaining the FNS department in a safe, secure, and sanitary manner and reports any problems to the Director of FNS, FNS Manager, Executive Chef or a designated Supervisor.
• Uses good judgment in conserving supplies, preventing food waste, and conserving utilities. Reports any food, supply, and equipment needs or concerns to the Director of FNS, FNS Manager, Executive Chef or a designated Supervisor.
• Dates, labels, and stores items properly. Uses proper food handling techniques.
• Reviews daily menus, (including therapeutic and modified consistencies) and serves all diets correctly. When serving menu items, makes adjustments as needed and appropriate to meet patient and resident needs and preferences.
• Responsible for the proper use, care, cleanliness, and sanitation of wait station and equipment.
• Busses tables in the dining area(s) as needed using proper sanitation/infection control procedures; cleans and sanitizes tabletops in dining area(s) and re-sets for next meal service.
