As a Senior UX/UI Designer you will represent the UX Team to the Billtrust community and our customers, and contribute to our team's product designs and user research efforts. You will work as an experienced designer on a team with some direction. You can help frame problems, develop feasible ideas, validate designs based on user feedback, and iterate accordingly.

You demonstrate a strong understanding of the SaaS design principles and can fluently apply these to your work. As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you consistently iterate early on in your work, going very broad before narrowing down. You are proficient in taking problems and opportunities and framing them in a way that will lead to the best outcome within time and technological constraints. You understand when it's productive to accept a design within defined constraints and when to keep pushing for change. You can produce use cases, user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that lead to intuitive UX/UI design across devices and platforms.

Senior UX/UI Designers must work effectively with product and engineering and help support junior designers. You have an understanding of your team's objectives and how they relate to the vision of the future of the product and the success of the company. Senior Designers are constantly thinking about how new features will create a better future state for the product. You also understand the user and the product well enough to push back when a request doesn't move the product forward in a positive way.


What You'll Do:

Design:

  • You can create and explain a well thought out multi-step and cross-platform flows
  • You have a strong understanding of the best tools and concepts to use for an assignment.
  • Fluent in sketching and wireframing of complex features and user journeys.
  • Proficient in designing end-to-end SaaS products and showcasing high fidelity prototypes.
  • You can clearly explain how research influenced your design.
  • Proficient in conducting user research and usability testing.

Collaboration:

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders and project teams in all stages of design and development
  • Be responsible for meeting tight deadlines and ensuring consistent quality
  • You will have the ability to identify problems or inefficiencies, propose solutions, & drive validated improvements.
  • Demonstrate your passion for interaction design & learning about users and their problems and share that passion with your team members.
  • You proactively seek feedback from the UX Team or SME on your work when it's useful.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring to the Team:

6+ years of relevant experience in UX and UI design, including:

  • Wireframing
  • User flows creation
  • Style guides creation
  • Design systems creation
  • Design presentation
  • High fidelity prototyping
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD and or other relevant UX/UI design tools
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Competitive analysis
  • Usability testing
  • Front-end and CSS frameworks experience is a plus
  • Portfolio demonstrating your skills is required for this position

SALARY RANGE BELOW FOR COLORADO BASED APPLICANTS ONLY

Target Base Compensation: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 (bonus offered in addition to base compensation)

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for Colorado-based hires only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. Billtrust intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience and location.
