THE ROLE: Senior Technical Architect

Job Summary:

In this role you will perform consultative discovery of the client’s business goals, objectives and challenges and then translate them into effective enterprise architectures. They perform Assessments, Strategy and Roadmap workshops and discuss opportunities for customers to leverage technologies to achieve business outcomes. Principal Architects consult with our customers on their IT and Business requirements to understand the current technology landscape in order to define a desired end state enterprise architecture and roadmap to achieve that end state.

Travel Requirements:

In this role you will be expected to travel up to 20% in the southeast region. It will be based in the Charlotte, NC office.

Job Responsibilities:

• In coordination with the Solutions Architects & Professional Services Team, meeting with key customers to discuss our consulting approach, capabilities, and deliverable options.
• Review statements of work for customer engagements.
• Deliver Billable engagements including activities such as:
  • Performing implementations of enterprise architectures within the Cisco portfolio in partnership with customer and extended Presidio team
  • Perform Architecture Assessments, Design Assessments, and Engineering / Configuration Assessments.
  • Creating detailed, implementation-level Designs that align with the business strategy and operational support capabilities.
  • Prepare and present Engagement deliverables to the customer
  • Work with the Solution Architecture team to allow them to finalize any follow-up actions including Bills of Materials, Statements of Work for remediation, etc.
  • Collaborate well as part of a multi-functional team with Sales, Pre-Sales, Project Management and other delivery/engineering resources
  • Experience with one or more of the following SDDC (Cisco DNA, Cisco ISE, SecureX, Cisco DUO, Umbrella, AMP, etc)
• WAN Edge & public cloud networking – Concept awareness with one or more of the following:
  • Hybrid & Public Cloud Networking (AWS, Azure, Google, Aviatrix)
  • Firewall Platforms (Palo Alto, Firepower, Checkpoint, Fortinet)
  • WiFi - Experienced with deployment (Cisco, Meraki, Aruba), Configuration, Tuning
  • Surveying Tools (Ekahau)
  • Strong knowledge of network design and applications, including designing IP Addressing

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• Preferred an active CCIE Certification or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of hands-on network and collaboration experience designing, implementation and optimizing complex environments
• Possess leadership capabilities to lead design discussions, propose out of the box solutions, govern industry best practices, provide guidance to customer, as well as on site engineering team
• Experienced expert with complex multi-protocol routing and switching solutions (Cisco)
• Experienced expert with Unified Communications solutions (Cisco)
• Deep expertise with network discovery, best practices analysis, capacity analysis and overall network architecture review.
• Must be able to travel to client locations on occasion as needed

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 10+ years of hands-on network and collaboration experience designing, implementation and optimizing complex environments
