SENIOR RELIABILITY ENGINEER

Salary Range: $115-$130K Depending on experience, plus bonus

We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to with Plastics industry experience (Molding, extrusion, etc) to work out of our Dallas area plant . You will shoulder responsibility for ensuring equipment operates at peak performance using your skills & knowledge in Predictive Maintenance and Reliability Engineering. This is a key, corporate level role reporting to the VP of Engineering and providing service to both the local plant as well as occasional travel to other regional locations. As such, this role provides a great deal of autonomy and requires a Reliabilty Engineering professional who is able to manage their own time and complete projects assigned to them in a timely manner.

Position Responsibilities

• The Reliabiltiy Engineer works to ensure OEE is at the highest possible level while recommending Continuous Improvement and Capital Investment upgrades to the production line and related equipment.
• The Reliability Engineer leads the testing of components and equipment to improve their reliability or resolve equipment issues.
• The Reliability Engineer helps develop preventative maintenance programs utilizing data from oil sampling, vibration analysis, thermography, and other data sources and recommends capital equipment upgrades and refurbishments using that data.
• The Reliability Engineer offers technical support to Maintenance & Production departments
• The Reliability Engineer performs root cause failure analyses on critical equipment and on equipment failures.

Preferred Qualifications

• The Reliability Engineer should have a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 2 years experience as a Reliability or Maintenance Engineer is required. A background in plastics is preferred.
• The Reliability Engineer needs experience serving as the cheerleader for Predictive Maintenance, championing smart data collection and its use to ensure optimal machine uptime and minimum downtime
• Knowledge of Loss Elimination, Life Cycle Asset Management & Risk Management initiatives is important.
• You must have excellent written & verbal communication skills, as well as team-building and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
