Job Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent in engineering, or appropriate combination of degree and experience
- Experience with electrochemical device fabrication (electrolyzer, fuel cell) with direct experience with CO 2 electrolysis cells preferred
- Understanding of electrochemistry, electrochemical techniques with electrocatalyst and/or ion conducting membrane development and evaluation experience a plus
- Proven ability to follow detailed SOPs and perform analytical techniques such as GC, GPC, LC-MS, FTIR, UV-Vis, NMR, SEM, TGA, DSC, cyclic voltammetry and electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS)
- Broad interests and willingness to take on challenges, excellent problem-solving abilities, creativity and ability to work in cross-functional teams
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of CO 2 electrolysis cells and related materials
- Execute defined experiments and tasks as well as design and conduct experiments and troubleshoot problems
- Maintain excellent laboratory records, and write reports and research summaries as required
- Interact closely with other scientists to develop comprehensive solutions
- Participate in intellectual property creation
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
