JOB TITLE: Quality Inspector

DEPARTMENT: Quality

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO (TITLE): Quality Manager

SUMMARY:

The Quality Inspector ensures the product meets the customer’s specifications and approves finished products for release. Open position for both first and second shifts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect press retains and finished product(s)
• Complete and maintain documentation of press and finished product inspections
• Final approval and lot release including verifying compliance to shipping requirements and generating a certificate of analysis/compliance
• Investigate and/or resolve issues that arise in production
• Perform in-process auditing of production floor
• Report findings to Operators, Supervisors, and Quality Management
• Approve, reject, and/or quarantine non-conforming products
• Assist with processing Supplier Claims
• Assist with cGMP/SOP training
• Assist with facilitation of active Quality team meetings
• Assist in root cause/corrective action investigation in response to customer complaints
• Perform lab testing when required
• Assist Quality Manager with special projects
• Promote safety and quality throughout the facility
• Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Required

• Possess perfect or near perfect vision and normal color vision
• Capable of passing a mechanical aptitude test
• Capable of reading, interpreting, and communicating specifications in English
• Must be familiar with quality inspection and measuring equipment
• Microsoft Office Suite basic knowledge required (Word, Access, Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc.)
• Must have positive commitment to and support quality improvement within the Company
• Must be highly detail-oriented and organized

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

Required

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and/or a combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
