As a Senior Product Manager on the Social team, you are responsible for defining, building, and scaling the user-facing products that help connect our players so they can engage more deeply with our games. You will also be responsible for creating the vision and strategy for Niantic's social discovery platform that connects our community of players directly to the experiences created by our developer community. Your work at Niantic will contribute directly to shaping the future of human computer interaction and define a new model for a better reality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a strategic, highly visible consumer social and platform product from initial adoption to global launch to scale at Niantic.
  • Develop and prioritize strategies, product initiatives, and features to drive the product roadmap, ultimately impacting millions of consumers and thousands of AR developers through the use of your product.
  • Establish and document goals and product requirements for product plans. Share your vision and drive alignment with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate with partners in Design, Engineering, Product, Data, Trust and Safety, Ops, Marketing, and more to drive the product roadmap, from existing products to new solutions as business and customer needs evolve.
  • Develop methods for assessing product and project success, and processes to increase the likelihood of it.
  • Support product development work outside of your core team, when necessary, to enable any dependencies that impact your product area.
  • Lead and motivate a team of engineers and other cross-functional representatives, and maintain team health and motivation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management or relevant experience.
  • Deep understanding of consumer social or gaming adjacent products and consumer psychology, and experience apply that knowledge through design and product execution.
  • Experience owning and driving end-to-end product launches, taking one or more products through the full product cycle, from proposal to launch and beyond.
  • Ability to execute with limited oversight and guidance beyond high level objectives.
  • Enthusiastic and resilient in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
  • Desire to work in and help create an inclusive, supportive, and team-oriented environment.

The total compensation package for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $184,000 - $214,200 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Individual pay within this salary range is determined by work location and additional factors, including assessed job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
