Sr. Operation Manager II-Real Estate Development and Construction

AHP seeks a remote-work-from-home Sr. Operation Manager II- to take leadership of construction and development technical assistance, consulting, problem solving, negotiations, best practices, and ongoing communications with internal and external stakeholders involved with 200+ development and construction projects across the State of CA. Essential skills are excellence in full cycle construction and development management, excellence in written and spoken communication, consulting, with professional level skills in Excel, PPT, Word, and information management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with and be supervised by the Project Director/Senior Manager of Real Estate, you will lead real estate development project management tasks, such as
    • Advising project sponsors in process of gaining building permits
    • Advising project sponsors in process of construction management
    • Coordinating and communicating best practices for solving construction and development delays, challenges, change orders.
    • Advising project sponsors on work-breakdown structures, schedule catch up, construction practices.
    • Advising sponsors on close-out, sign off process for final unconditional release.
  • Scheduling & coordinating detailed communications, data management systems & protocols, technical assistance, and ongoing reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Assist Project Director/Senior Manager with ongoing daily tasks.
    • Manage project timelines, due dates, deliverables.
    • Coordinate emails and follow up communications with grantees.
    • Establish project management best practices for daily, weekly, monthly workflows.
  • Project manage the creation and implementation of a Real Estate Development training program comprised of a series of virtual learning opportunities and curated resources designed for executives and managers of local BH agencies (county, non-profit, tribal, and private). This curriculum and materials would provide introductory information about the fundamentals of real estate development. A focus on equitable investment in underserved communities will be integrated throughout these knowledge building efforts. The training will assist participants to:
  • Manage spreadsheet creation, data management, data reporting, key performance measures.
  • Understand and use key real estate development concepts and financial metrics.
  • Design project management oversight tools with assistance from key professionals.
  • Complete project deliverables:
    • Develop written and online materials (e.g., reports, presentation slides, guidebooks, planning documents)
  • Carry out meeting, training, and technical assistance activities:
      • Plan meeting agenda, prepares supporting materials, and facilitates meetings.
      • Prepare formal notes of external meetings, clarifying commitments and follow-up action.
      • Develop training materials and manuals.

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of real estate construction management experience.
  • A history of managing development projects as well as organizing and leading teams.
  • Proficiency with Word, Outlook, Excel, Smartsheet’s, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and virtual meeting platforms

Education and Training

  • Specialized education and training in Real Estate development is preferred.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000

The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the AHP salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be high or low in the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. The range listed is just one component of AHP’s total compensation package for employees.
