POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Manager of Internal Communications will shape our internal environment by crafting communication plans, programs, and moments that engage and inspire our Team Members and community. This position will be responsible for leading Team Member communications and storytelling for the organization by developing innovative new Team Member platforms and vehicles. Create global internal communications plans that support the rollout of our highest priority programs and changes to People Team programs, while working with the team to sustain and bolster any existing programs. This position will be a trusted partner to our People Team and department leaders, to identify opportunities across the property for increased communication, awareness, and engagement.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Develop, execute, and advise on global communication plans and strategies that support People Team initiatives that balance and address both business goals and Team Member needs
  • Develop relationships with global partners, and find opportunities to elevate global engagement with the People Team's programs
  • Shape and lead the internal People team brand through an understanding of the function's purpose and its impact
  • Be a trusted partner; develop time-sensitive and important messaging and plans for the People Team
  • Identify and work on areas of opportunity where communication tools, messaging, frameworks, or channels can be improved, or new mechanisms implemented
  • Support in the development and mentorship of internal communications Team Members
  • Lead internal communications team on projects as priorities change, whether it's strategizing on a messaging plan, addressing a crisis communications moment, or working on an engagement event
  • Lead cross-functional internal communications plans and work across parts of the company to guide agreement, collaboration, and results
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of engagement, surfacing stories and campaigns that reflect who we are, what we care about, and what we need to know as a Company
  • Build an authentic relationship with Team Members through transparent, thoughtful, and resonant messaging across all of our communications platforms
  • Partner with Brand Marketing and Creative teams on photography and media needs for internal communication collateral
  • Manage business, creative, and content strategies for the Team Member portal, intranet, and other digital platforms and services
  • Own the process of providing graphic designers, creatives, copywriters, and other Team Members with strategy, concepts, and plan roadmaps
  • Ensure consistency and clarity of internal communications messaging across all mediums and platforms, partnering with key stakeholders to develop an overall communications plan that expresses the Companys vision, culture, core values, brand positioning, and business strategy
  • Interface regularly with Brand Marketing teams for creative requests as well as various 3rd party vendors to manage the design and production of a variety of time-sensitive projects, to be handled with efficiency and accuracy with an emphasis on detail and the ability to adhere to project deadlines and company policies
  • Build a measurement framework and dashboard to track and report on communication engagement metrics to demonstrate our impact on Team Members and our communities
  • Create compelling and visually impactful presentations and written communications for launches, conferences, all hands, and other business-critical forums
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree in marketing, communications, human resources, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Four (4) years of leadership experience in an Internal Communications or Creative Design position, preferred with a large-scale luxury resort/casino
  • Experience building community engagement capabilities for effective implementation, follow-up, sustainability, and measurement for large hospitality businesses
  • Must be able to handle a heavy business volume, and sensitive situations relating to Team Member and guest problems, in a timely manner
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects
  • Ability to provide leadership and direction contributing to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams
  • Demonstrated ability in maintaining consistent, high-quality service levels
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly, and communicate clearly


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job supervises all positions within the Internal Communications department.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Team Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
