Parachute Technology is looking to add an experienced, professional, and personable Senior IT Project Engineer to our growing team. This is a fantastic career opportunity for a proactive, highly motivated individual.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recommend, develop, plan, manage, implement, and fully document IT projects
  • Be the escalation point for other IT Systems Engineers and Service Desk Engineers
  • Advise the Account Manager with service requirements and specifications in order to better address client goals and needs
  • Take ownership of IT infrastructure and day to day operations for clients
  • Identify improvements to IT documentation, network maps, processes/procedures, and tickets
  • Manage and respond to escalated client inquiries
  • Prepare and implement advanced hardware and software for clients
  • Determine equipment and software procurement needs for clients
  • Research products and new technologies to increase efficiency of business and operations
  • Manage entire IT infrastructure for our largest clients
  • Provide professional and personable support
  • Keep all tickets and projects updated and track time in a detailed format
  • Essential Technical Skills and Experience
IT Projects:
  • Email and file migrations to Office 365
  • Server migrations to Azure
  • Configuring, installing, and testing firewalls, switches, WAPs (Cisco Meraki preferred)
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations
  • Identity access and management

Server:
  • Windows Server & Roles: Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Network Policy Server, Remote Desktop Server
  • Exchange Server: configuration, troubleshooting, repair, backup management, user management
  • Cloud services: Azure Virtual Network & Compute, Office 365
  • Virtualization: VMWare & VCenter, Hyper-V

Networking:
  • Firewall/router setup and troubleshooting; Cisco, Meraki, SonicWall
  • Network design, setup, management, troubleshooting and traffic shaping
  • VPN/server/client setup and issue resolution
  • Wireless network design for single and multi-node setups in small and medium size environments
  • VLANs, managed switches, packet tracing, network monitoring
  • DNS, DHCP, FTP, VoIP
  • Internet domain management

REQUIREMENTS:

Personal Skills

Work Experience

  • 7 years of IT experience required; 10 years preferred
  • 1 year of MSP experience required; 5 years preferred

Technical Experience

  • Azure Migrations, Email Migrations, Office 365 Advanced Security & Compliance

Knowledge/Certifications

  • Required: Microsoft 365: Microsoft Enterprise Administrator and/or the Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
  • Preferred: Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSA in Windows Server 2012R2 or 2016, VMware Certified Associate (VCA), Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
