We are expanding the finance and accounting function and seeking motivated individuals to join our rapidly growing company. Key responsibilities include aspects of operational accounting, technical analysis, and external reporting. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, collaborative, and focused on getting the job done with excellence.
Responsibilities
- Financial close process including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and other analyses under SOX
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data
- Proactively identify issues, drive continuous improvement, optimize and automate processes/systems
- Support external reporting process and SEC deadlines
- Coordinate and assist with external audit requests
- Assist with technical accounting research and documentation of new policies and procedures
- Provide support for special projects, initiatives, and analyses
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a public company is required, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience is preferred
- Big 4 public accounting firm and CPA license preferred
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX and SEC reporting requirements
- Strong project management skills with the ability to anticipate events, prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment
