Key Responsibilities

• Responsibilities will include assisting in month end closing, monthly bank reconciliations, and completing the balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations for all types of accounts, including accruals, prepaid, intercompany accounts, sales tax liabilities, fixed assets, and intangibles, to ensure accurate reporting and GL reliability.
• Post and process complex journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Assist with payroll entries and accruals.
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements and analyze financial statements for discrepancies.
• Assist with other accounting tasks and projects, as requested. Coordinates accounting matters with other departments.
• Assist with annual Audits and prepare documents for external auditors.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience in excel-based financial modeling, including financial planning, analysis, and forecasting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 4 – 6+ years of related work experience preferred. Retail industry experience is a plus.
• US GAAP Knowledge is required.
• Advanced excel skills, including Vlookups and Pivot tables. Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP is a plus.
• Comfortable in an environment with changing priorities, competing demands for time, and working with teams located in different time zones.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, business partners, and company officials.
• Attention to detail.
• Result-oriented, accountable accurate, and problem-solving continuous improvement mindset.
