Job Summary

Services to be provided include safeguarding the Job Corps CCC buildings, properties, supplies, students and employees and allowing only authorized people access to the property and buildings. The duties will require serving at rotating posts, making rounds on foot, and managing and monitoring access, monitoring activity via video and visual observance investigating and reporting suspicious activity, and potential threats, monitoring all internal surveillance and alarm systems (such as fire suppression) at the Job Corps CCC.

Schedule & Shift:

Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Qualifications

• Any guard provided must have a minimum of One Year experience as a security officer or One Year experience in a branch of law enforcement or other type of protective service.
• The guards must be trained for and capable of handling any and all incidents in a legal and professional manner.

• Must be in complete uniform and well-groomed at all times.
• Abide by all ordinances and regulations pertaining to the Job Corps CCC’s operation and secure all required licenses and permits;
• Being on time and reliable.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test and may be required to pass a Driver's Record check.
• Be professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.

Technical Requirements

• Provide access control to facilities and buildings.
• Monitor staff, student, public and contractor/vendor traffic
• Greet everyone in a friendly and professional manner
• Regulate entry and exit of the campus
• Use of vetting procedures to ensure proper access authorization
• Answers and screens incoming calls and directs them to the appropriate staff and/or department
