Summary
Under general supervision, the Security Guard will primarily be responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the assigned facility including the physical plant, staff, patients, and visitors while contributing to the overall patient experience with a customer service approach.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Provide customer service to our patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Patrols the entire facility providing a level of high visibility to deter any wrong doings.
- Reports any issues/problems/incidents immediately in order to find a resolution and provide excellent customer service
- Provides escort services when requested.
- Assists in the handling of difficult and/or abusive patients and visitors when requested by staff.
- Controls traffic inside and outside buildings and performs related public safety duties as assigned.
- Participates in investigations; maintains records and prepares incident reports and other documents pertinent to security activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.
- Participate in internal meetings & trainings as required.
- Other duties as assigned

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of one year security experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Must have good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to read, write and comprehend the English language well.
- Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Windows-based software applications as well as the having the ability to type.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
