Mission: Second Season positions are result-oriented and focus on the fulfilment of operations and quality for the entire SBR. You are expected to fill a wide variety of roles across different departments. Working with a team, you will benefit from high variety of unique experiences at the Summit.

Direct Report: Family Adventure Camp Director

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Execute and supervise a variety of activities offered not limited to; Aerial, Aquatics, Shooting Sports, or Wheels programs appropriate to all ages 6+
  • Complete tasks such as tent packing, facility cleaning, general logistics, and program support
  • Facilitate special SBR events including food service, driving, and logistics support
  • Assist in hospitality and housekeeping related activities when program not in demand
  • Assist in admin related activities/communications for participants and management
  • Assist the facilities department in labor related activities for repair and/or maintenance
  • Assist the marketing/registration for promotional materials/activities and registration tasks
  • Conduct personal projects or other duties as assigned by SBR leadership
  • Abide by policies and procedures outlines in the SBR staff handbook

Qualifications & Training:

  • 21 years of age or older
  • Outdoor recreation and/or previous SBR experience preferred
  • Valid U.S. driver's license preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new skills in cross trained program activity departments
  • Ability and desire to develop/maintain the skills necessary to operate various SBR venues
  • Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
  • Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America

Physical Requirements:

  • Up to 8 hours of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must meet the Summit Bechtel Reserve's high adventure height/weight requirements as laid out in the Summit BSA Health & Medical Record

Uniform: Summit staff uniform

Housing: Pigott Bunkhouse (2 Staff per room)
