Description:
We are seeking a Scrum Master to join our team in Mclean, VA. Temporarily remote due to Covid precautions. The ideal Scrum Master will be the guardian for the Scrum Processes, someone who resolves impediments and help the team with successful project delivery of highest quality. To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.
Requirements:
Organize and facilitate daily stand-up, sprint planning, grooming, review and retrospective meetings- Monitor sprint goals and shield the team from outside interferences
- Track and remove impediments for the team
- Conduct Scrum of scrums and ensure adherence to scrum processes
- Track team metrics and incremental delivery towards Sprint/Release
- Coach team members on agile frameworks
- Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
- Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
- Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity and process improvement
- Help build a productive environment where team members “own” the product and enjoy working on it
- 3 years of experience working as a Scrum Master or a similar scrum practitioner role
- Experience in Agile Methodology like SCRUM, Kanban
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of software development processes and procedures
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and servant leadership skills
- Stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask within tight deadlines, self-directed and results/goal oriented
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Prior experience working with Federal Government clients
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree preferred- One or more of the following certifications: Certified Scrum Master, PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), SAFe Agilist (5.0).
