Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00AM-4:00PM, with OT on Fridays (as needed)

Job Purpose:

Operate screen printing press to print decorative designs on garments, uniforms or other items according to specifications and with planned efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reads and comprehends pick tickets, reference sheets, and other documents related to the order to determine placement and colors of the impression on the garment.
• Selects squeegees and ink color to use per order.
• Sets up screens and adds color ink according to customer order.
• Positions garment on pallet ensuring proper placement of print.
• Cleans screens with solvent when using different colors or end of the run.
• Approves first garment with supervisor.
• Ensure production order is complete and according to specifications and with planned efficiency.
• Observes screen printing operation to detect defects in printing.
• Follows proper procedures for all chemicals and inks used in the department.
• Performs daily machine maintenance according to procedures.
• Keeps a clean and orderly work area.
• Transfers used screens to cleaning area.
• Wears proper PPE.
