How you’ll shape the future of the Wood Procurement Department:
  • Inspect and weigh all truck receipts of roundwood, chips and bark using ISO standards.
  • Direct all trucks to proper staging or unloading locations.
  • Ensure that the truck drivers have proper safety equipment and know safe procedures to follow while unloading.
  • Communicate with chip mill and woodyard operators to insure a smooth flow of trucks through the woodyard. Truck turnaround times are to be as low as possible.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and production reports for procurement and accounting as needed.
  • Make sure truck scales are weighing accurately. Arrange for inspection/repair as needed.
  • Perform chip tests using ISO standards for onsite and offsite suppliers. Record and report results.
  • Update ISO scale shack manual when necessary.

You’ll be someone who can bring:
  • HS Degree Required. College or tech school is a plus.
  • 2-5 years in automated office equipment experience and/or forestry related field.
  • Ability to understand roundwood, chip and bark quality specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer systems and applications a plus.
