Time Commitment:

1 full-time and 1 part-time position is available. We are opened 5 days a week with days off being Sunday and Monday. Shifts start at 6:30 am with closing at 2:30 pm.

Who we are:

The Corner Deli Market is a family owned and operated year round breakfast, lunch and coffee shop inside a small market located in a historic building in the quaint town of South Londonderry, Vermont. We hire the most service-oriented people who appreciate a fun, fair, and drama-free work environment.

The Job:

We take our sandwich making very seriously, it's hard work and takes quick and accurate decision making along with having calm demeanor. Sandwiches are made to order, and that is why all the prep work for our sandwich stations take time and patience. We prepare all ingredients for the sandwich station including, salads, spreads, and cooked meats, as well as slicing all the meats and cheeses needed.

Specific Duties:

• Producing top-quality sandwiches, with great attention to detail
• Slicing deli meats and cheeses
• Preparing our house-made dressings and sandwich fillings with strict adherence to our recipes and quality standards
• Giving great service to customers and teammates
• Adhering to sanitation rules and guidelines
• Cross training stations between taking orders, sandwich making, coffee station, and running the cash register.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in commercial kitchen environment preferred but not necessary
• Experience with using a POS
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, twist, stretch, and stand for several hours at a time
• Experience is a plus but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Teachability is a MUST. We are always willing to teach but you have to want to learn.

Compensation:

• $15-$17 an hour plus tips depending on experience
• 15% employee discount
