Sample Coordinator, Research Operations Job at Sarepta Therapeutics
This individual will fulfill the requirements of maintaining the tracking, inventory, receipt and shipment of all samples, and reagents to support preclinical and clinical research.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining tracking of samples in multiple nonclinical and clinical trials
- Communicate with carriers or couriers when shipments are delayed or lost to update teams of delivery estimates
- Coordinate sample delivery expectations with laboratory team and clinical operations
- Using either paper-based or electronic software to document sample receipt, volumes, shipments, and disposals
- Works with cross-functional teams to ensure subject consents are up to date before samples are received and shipped.
- Support implementation of new electronic sample inventory system
- Inventory of reagents, materials and general lab supplies
- Occasionally supports equipment maintenance
- Performs related job duties as required
Desired Education and Skills:
- Associates degree desired
- Prior sample management experience required
- Ability to strictly adhere to laboratory SOPs is required
- Ability to handle a multi-task workload is required
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are necessary
- Experience using IDBS is preferred
This position requires work on site at one of Sarepta’s facilities in the United States. Candidates should be aware that Sarepta currently maintains a policy requiring all US-based employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to work on site.
