JOB DUTIES & DESCRIPTION

OVERALL
The Taproom Supervisor is responsible for providing excellent, attentive service to the Taproom guests and the cleanliness and maintenance of the Salinas Taproom. Additionally, you are the “face” at the Salinas Taproom for locals and regulars and you must be comfortable and competent at building relationships with everyone. You should be energetic and passionate about all facets of our beers and the brewing process. You will be an ambassador for ASB and champion a culture of ethics resulting in fair and equitable treatment of all. The right candidate must be enthusiastic about the beer industry and have a desire to promote what makes Alvarado Street Brewery unique. As a supervisor, you will be expected to oversee and ensure the staff stays on task and the guests are provided excellent service. Energy and passion must show through in your everyday work and you must have a desire to make the brewery better every day. You are responsible for supporting and ensuring the cleanliness standards, protocols and processes established by management are in compliance. This is a full time (40 hours per week) hourly position. It is expected that the Taproom Supervisor will evenly split their time between actively working the taproom and supervising/administrating the business. As such, the Taproom Supervisor should spend a maximum of 25 hours per week actively working the taproom in a beertender capacity and the remaining time in a purely supervisory role. This position receives an hourly base wage plus tips.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Previous supervisory experience, preferably within a restaurant/bar.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Fair, consistent, impartial, and ethical individual.
  • Intermediate accounting and arithmetic skills.
  • Excellent guest service and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to respond quickly and competently and problem solve under pressure.
  • Ability to hold accountable a team in a compassionate, fair, and consistent manner.
  • Takes responsibility, inspires, and leads with integrity.
  • Ability to provide superior guest experiences in demanding situations.
  • Takes initiative, detail oriented with an awareness of the larger picture.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
