Salesforce Software Engineer Job at Beacon Street Services
Overview:
MarketWise Solutions (formerly known as Beacon Street Services) is continuing to build and expand its cloud services platform, the backbone for our data-driven marketing, sales, ecommerce, customer, and billing services. We're currently looking to bring on a Salesforce Software Engineer to help drive continued Salesforce enhancements, but this role will require some experience in other technologies which impact our eco-system including APIs, microservices, and Java applications.
This role is perfect for someone who wants to develop systems from concept to fruition that will reach millions of customers using the latest and greatest technologies in our stack, with a focus on microservices. The ideal candidate should enjoy a fast-paced environment and building new products at scale, playing with APIs and data, and discovering and exploring new technologies and ideas.
We’re building 100%-cloud-native, serverless code on the AWS and Salesforce platforms to support our digital marketing platform.
Experience with Amazon Web Services, web development, and REST APIs is ideal, but not necessary. We’ll help you learn everything you need to know. - AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, EC2, SQS, DynamoDB,
RDS, S3, Kinesis) - Salesforce PaaS (Apex, Heroku, Lightning Web Components)
- Java, Angular, TypeScript, Node
- Snowflake database, Looker business analytics
- Event-driven architecture
- Design, develop, modify, test, and support highly reliable and large-scale software applications and services for the cloud that serve millions of customers.
- Participate in software planning, design, and architecture sessions and fully own aspects of the technical solution.
- Must be an active coder in your day-to-day duties with an enthusiasm for technology, particularly with software development across multiple languages.
- Experience with and willingness to develop on the Salesforce platform.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into small pieces of a microservice architecture.
- Take accountability for tasks and resolve problems effectively.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to convey technical issues clearly across multiple functional teams.
- Ability to work and thrive in a faced-paced environment.
- Team oriented, with experience in Agile principles.
- BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or a similar field is desired, but not required; you should understand data structures and algorithms.
- 3+ years of professional experience developing software on the Salesforce platform (e.g., Apex, LWC, Communities).
- Solid Java programming and SQL query skills.
- Desire and ability to write clean, beautiful code, including unit tests.
- Passion for learning and adopting new technology.
- Obsession with customer service and delivering business value.
- Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Experience with AWS, a plus.
- Experience with Angular, ReactJS, a plus.
