Description:

The Estimator/Inside Sales shall have strong knowledge of Electrical Assemblies and CNC machining. Familiar with the secondary manufacturing processes, including but not limited to: grinding, honing, EDM, heat treating, anodizing, passivating, chem film, and painting. The Estimator is able to interpret drawing specifications and customer requirements in order to provide full cost estimating to provide costs and lead time to the customers.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for evaluating solicitations, RFP, RFQ specifications, and drawings or technical data packages, ensuring everything required to successfully bid the job is present.
• Have basic customer service and sales skills to be able to follow up and negotiate with customers when required in regard to pricing and lead time
• Communicate with internal department heads including purchasing, manufacturing, and quality in order to obtain estimated costs and lead time
• Communicate with key vendors to obtain outside secondary costs including anodize, chem film, passivation, paint, EDM, sheet metal, welding, and grinding processes.
• Be a customer’s focal point of contact for any sales, technical, and engineering concerns.
• Utilize our Estimating software to generate quotes.
• Research federal contract opportunities using SAM.gov.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience or more in a related position
• Education: high school minimum, NO Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required as long as the candidate is able to demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge required
• Complete understanding of machining operations as well as secondary manufacturing processes.
• Familiar with the Aerospace industry and AS9100 or ISO 9001.
• Strong understanding of ANSY Y14.5 and GD&T engineering drawings.
• Must be able to work independently, but also demonstrate an ability to work productively within the department team.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to think critically.
• Ability to increase the level of performance of peers and subordinates.
• Team and Customer focused attitude.
• Strong work ethic.

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
