What You'll Get to Do:

In collaboration with Territory Account Manager TAM and aligned with Panasonic goals and objectives, engineer will focus on the following core areas: product and solution demonstrations, product operational training, advanced technical support, solution consulting support, voice of customer reporting for product feature enhancement and new product development.

What You'll Bring:

Scope

• Panasonic Connect North America is seeking a Sales Support Engineer for the professional video, cinema and broadcast group. The candidate for this position must understand professional video or broadcasting systems and be proficient and certified in IT or IP networking systems.
• The ideal candidate should reside in the Los Angles metro area.

Education and Experience:

• B.S. degree in at least one of the following areas: computer science, electrical engineering, broadcast or AV engineering.
• CCNA certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of SMPTE ST2110 beneficial.
• Working knowledge of streaming protocols, video production workflows.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS and Linux.
• 5+ Years of experience in technical interface with resellers and end-users on hardware, software or entanglement services.
• Strategic thinker who takes a systematic approach to solving problems to ensure customer satisfaction and achieving company goals.

Product Knowledge:

• Develop an extensive technical understanding of all Panasonic broadcast, cinema and professional video systems, solutions and services. This includes:
• Kairos SMPTE ST2110 IP based live production platform and workflows.
• Standalone UHD or HD video switchers
• Robotic PTZ cameras and workflows including streaming and auto tracking.
• Studio camera systems
• ROPs Remote Operation Panel

Key Competencies:

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Skilled presenter who is comfortable with one-on-one or large group audiences.
• Effectively communicate with internal departments sales, service, product management, engineering, etc.
• Ability to provide equipment operational training.
• Ability to work variable hours including some weekends due to business travel, customer availability and trade show involvement.
• Self-Motivated

Other Requirements:

• Travel is required 60 percent
