JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective
Sales Engineer is responsible for determining customer requirements for the manufacture and delivery of pressure vessels/equipment. Using applicable codes and regulations, the Sales Engineer liaisons between the Sales and Engineering departments to generate a set of specifications from those requirements. The Sales Engineer then works with the customer to provide a quote and ultimately secure the order and coordinate a completion date with the production managers. Supervisory Responsibility

This position has some supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the job site. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud. This job also operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires the following positioning requirements with the associated percentage of the workday denoted beside each one: standing (5%), walking (5%), bending (20%), kneeling (10%), squatting (60%). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Up to 25% travel expected

Required Education and Experience

Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Engineering

Preferred Education and Experience

B.S. Mechanical Engineering and ASME pressure vessel design experience a plus.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, CAD software, and COMPRESS preferred

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Lawfully eligible to work in the United States.
