Sales Lead Job Profile
Sales Lead executes the day-to-day operations of the store as communicated by the Store Manager. This position will inspire our guests, providing a complete customer service experience with every transaction. Always strive to improve the customer experience, drive store sales, and increase profitability. Utilize networking skills to grow the customer base. Maintain high store standards and conditions and foster a positive and unified environment. Ensure all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability. Lead by example and coach teammates to our ‘Perfect Sale’ sales model.

Duties and Responsibility:

  • Advises guests on occasions ranging from every day (birthdays, thank you, and recognition) to milestone

(weddings, anniversaries, retirement).

  • Inspires guests to create memory making messages on our personalized product and demonstrates a keen knowledge of all our products and services.
  • Maintains VIP customer list and follows up on guest’s gift giving experiences
  • Maintain personal sales, consistently achieving sales and key performance indicator goals.
  • Models all selling behaviors
  • Achieves a high level of engraving competency and is able to train other teammates on engraving
  • Embody our culture and values and providing insight and inspiring our Customers
  • Drive Customer engagement inside and outside of the store environment ranging from store events & promotions to community projects as directed by the Store Manager.
  • Assist store management in maintaining an accurate inventory
  • Maintain store-merchandising guidelines that make the store easy to shop and add value to the

Customer’s overall experience. Ability to flex and improvise merchandising to fit store type and inventory levels.

  • Strive for excellence, always meeting and exceeding store objectives as it relates to Performance,

Productivity, Efficiency, and Quality standards.

  • Maintain all safety and security standards, identifying and communicating potential issues to field supervisor.
  • Primarily work on single coverage and be responsible for opening and/or closing the store
  • Responsible for achieving sales and other store financial goals. Must analyze and understand financial goals, reports and track both individual/team and store results
  • Responsible for helping with mentoring/training new teammates
  • Responsible for engaging with store teammates and their customers, creating a fun and inviting environment.
  • Responsible for coordinating sales promotions and merchandise displays, which includes stock merchandise, and processing incoming and outgoing merchandise shipments in a timely matter.
  • Proficient in knowledge and execution of store operations: engraving; performance of all register transactions; and Equipment maintenance
  • Help manage and communicate payroll overages
  • Accountable to balance cash daily and execute nightly bank deposits
  • Participate in two annual physical inventories and conduct cycle counts where needed
  • Responsible to ensure the security of the store and offsite storage locations including locks, shipments and cash
  • Create a retail store environment to ensure unsurpassed customer service, this includes but not limited to: clean, visually appealing retail store, complying with company guidelines and to ensure the store is in legal compliance
  • Builds and maintains a solid customer following through clienteling/HERO program

Leadership Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to demonstrate successful selling techniques such as up-selling with the ability to articulate product and engraving information to enhance salesmanship and reach store and individual sales goals
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and articulate manner
  • Ability to listen, read, accurately transcribe and verify customer message specifications onto engraved merchandise
  • Ability to receive and acknowledge coaching from SM/ASM on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Reinforce good selling behaviors and customer service through positive recognition of others on the store team.
  • Ability to differentiate goals vs. expectations.
  • Effective leadership through active participation in any project she/he is assigned to in the store.
  • Ability to communicate with and follow through with direction from field supervisor.
  • Display ownership, initiative and be empowered when manager on duty, fulfilling the daily operations of the store and taking care of any customer issues at the store level.

Education and Experience

1. High School diploma or GED

2. Minimum of 1 years of retail experience in a mall-based environment
