Chemical Containers, Inc. in Lake Wales is looking for a motivated and fast-learning Sales Assistant to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this position would be to assist multiple Sales Associates simultaneously with their day-to-day tasks and learn the basics of our company in hopes of growing into a Junior Sales Associate. An ideal candidate is one with strong organizational skills, a quick thinker, and a problem solver. The position is an in-office position that would require the candidate to be at the office Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm daily.

Requirements:

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

· High school diploma and a 2-year college degree or the equivalent in work experience

· Experienced in Microsoft Office

· Strong work ethic and good attendance

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Attention to detail

· Excellent listening skills

· Willingness to learn, think fast and ask questions

· Be able to take notes and perform tasks as directed

· Multitask and prioritize duties as needed

· Take meeting minutes, prepare, and distribute corresponding documents/memos

· Assist in preparation for tradeshows

· Create, organize, and maintain documents and files both physical and virtual

· Prepare and/or revise customer quotations as needed

· Enter purchase orders, request freight quotes, etc.

· Contact customers as instructed

· Sense of urgency with assigned tasks and follow-up is a must

As mentioned previously, the goal would be for the candidate to grow into a Junior Sales Associate. Sales within our company can be fast-paced at times, requiring quick thinking and problem-solving. At other times there are opportunities to improve product knowledge and understanding. We build equipment on-site allowing Sales Associates to gain hands-on familiarity with products.

Future responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

· Answer sales calls and respond to emails promptly

· Assisting walk-in customers

· Follow up with customers consistently, prepare quotations, and deliver high-quality customer service

· Assist and train customers on how to use new equipment

· Perform research to competitively bid against our competitors

· Effectively evaluate, negotiate, and secure customer orders

· Troubleshoot equipment and help guide customers to a conclusion

· Design custom equipment to fit customer’s needs (think outside of the box)

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
