Centric Pipe is seeking a Sales Administrator - Business Coordinator

Position Purpose: Responsible for the account administration of current clients of Oil Country Tubular Goods OCTG - steel pipe for oil & gas drilling applications. Post invoices, organize communications, advise sales team of changes in available products, advise sales team of invoicing and Accounts Receivable statuses.

ADMINISTRATION of SALES PROCESSES Responsibilities

  • Invoice customers.
  • Follow up on Accounts Receivable / AR.
  • Run reports on customer balances.
  • Coordinate communication between sales team and other third parties as well as customers.
  • Earn trust and credibility with customers by being truthful and vigorously seeking answers to their questions.

SUPPLY CHAIN ADMINISTRATION Responsibilities

  • Monitor product processing or value-add service, and manage or influence logistics (receiving, tracking, transferring), and recordkeeping through teamwork in order to meet the demanding sales environment. Complete all documentation including orders, invoices, transfers, etc.
  • Generate management information reports as directed (e.g. monthly management reports, change reports, open order reports, inventory reconciliation reports, etc.).
  • Analyze and monitor costs, source cost-savings solutions, and act upon cost-saving initiatives wherever discovered.

Qualifications

Education/Certification: PREFERRED Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business,Supply Chain, Operations Management, OR 2+ years of Steel / Metals Experience (tubulars preferred) in a similar role.

Experience Required: 2-4 years of business experience understanding accounting for a manufacturer, sales admin, supply chain or other related discipline. Preferred two (2) years working with a focus with steel or other related materials. Preferred two (2) years of understanding cost of related products, lead times, specifications of metals, and manufacturing uses to related metals/steel.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong administrative skills. Expert MS Excel user. Proven ability to coordinate communications, schedule meetings, route calls, and solve problems through organization and communication.
  • Strong customer service skills with proven ability to act with acute care and appreciation for customers while also acting with win-win attitude.
  • Ability to operate relevant computer applications, proprietary software after training, and related business equipment without assistance.
  • Ability to self-manage and maintain an effective and efficient workflow.

TRAVEL: Negligible.

ENVIRONMENTAL: Ability to work effectively in an open office setting using, but not limited to, filing systems, computer systems, applicable software, lifting items of nominal weight, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
