The purpose of the Rover Teacher position is to support schools with substitutes that can cover unfilled teaching positions. Rover teachers receive their assignments by 6:00 AM each morning for that day and are centrally deployed by the central office. We are looking for Rovers who are adaptable to any content level and any grade level. Grade level preferences are considered, but cannot always be granted due to the nature of the position, which is staffing to the highest need in schools.
Pay for Rovers is determined in accordance with the REA salary schedule, and are paid a base contract only. Rovers are not eligible for the Enrichment or State PD pay reflected on the salary schedule.
