Route Driver – Bottled Water

Route driver position available with a local route sales/delivery organization serving the greater Fresno area and surrounding counties. This position serves in a key role in delivering water to primarily commercial offices throughout the Central Valley. This is a great career opportunity for a scheduled work week, Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities

• Ability to drive a beverage delivery truck, supplying bottled water to customers on a routine schedule with Class C license.
• Communicate with customers, ensuring satisfaction with their biweekly delivery
• Daily settlement of account, using handheld route equipment and automated system
• Communicating to supervisors and other team members of opportunities and situations that need special handling of customer-related inquiries
• Verifying that product delivery and receivables match invoice delivered at each stop
• Working safely, following policies and protocol for Valley Coffee and California driving requirements
• Understand product line and case/pack concepts
• Work with supervisors and office staff to communicate needed changes on route
• Maintain positive and professional attitude toward customers and employees at all times
• Complete tasks each day with little assistance, with punctuality and reliability
• Special off-route assignments as assigned

Skillset required

• Verbal communication skills, energetic with positive attitude
• Ability to safely operate beverage delivery truck
• Lift 3- and 5- gallon bottles of water weighing up to 50# from delivery truck for delivery at customer site
• Demonstrated safe driving record
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, using time-management skills
• Ability to work independently while on route, adhering to all California driving regulations and company policy
• Understanding of route delivery preferred
• Recognize the importance of COVID-safety work environment, adhering to COVID protocols as defined for Valley Coffee / Valley Springs water and government regulatory agencies
• High school diploma or GED certification
• Successful completion of reference check, pre-employment drug test and submission of clean DMV record prior to start date

• Monday – Friday

• Day-time hours; no graveyard or night shifts available
